When you’re not that horny

This is to all the women who have said ‘NO’ in bed.

Truth be told, it’s impossible for men to resist sex when offered; given there’s no moral violation behind it. Oh, but us women, whether with a husband, a lover, or a total stranger, we can just afford to refuse!

There’s no agenda behind but a plain reality that there are times that we don’t feel like it, or there are more important things to do.

US studies show that greater number of married women experience involuntary sex compared to the number of rape cases recorded. How ironic is that?

Within marriage, women are supposedly enjoying love making, not obliged or enslaved by the title of being a wife. We are given two options where we just have to pick the lesser evil- give in but feel violated, or decline and feel guilty afterwards.

Men, given they love their wives, or plainly respect how womanhood works, should be sensitive about our needs as well. It’s not that we don’t love you or consider your needs, maybe we just need some rest, some good night sleep, some time alone. They should weigh their reactions after being rejected. In a decent, long-lasting relationship, sex is only a consolation of hard work and understanding. Let it pass with a light heart.

We don’t have an idea how to comfort you while you’re at it, being horny, anyway. For a moment, I even laughed it off. Which is kind of mean. I can’t help it though. I tried to explain myself as much as I could but words won’t soothe it, right?

Kidding aside, I only would like to reach out some clarity to Team Adam and Team Eve, that our bodies and brain work differently. We could never comprehend each other with the “I don’t feel like it” phrase in sex but that’s who we are. That’s how we’re made. End of story.

Some credit go to A-fake-name for a good deal of perspective.
